Martha Daniel is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 35 years of experience in medical, mental health, and school settings. She is a literacy specialist with extensive training in the science of reading, language development, and specially designed instruction, serving as a leader in both state and district-level initiatives.
Together, they created OARRRS (Optimal Arousal Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic Strategies) — a research-informed, classroom-ready framework that blends sensory processing methodology with evidence-based learning strategies. OARRRS equips educators to boost student motivation, reduce undesired behaviors, and create optimal learning environments for all learners.
David and Martha have presented OARRRS at the Kentucky Reading Association, Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association, CSUN International Conference, and multiple universities, training centers, and school districts. Their approach is exclusive to schools through the Western Kentucky Educational Cooperative, with a mission to make it accessible to educators worldwide.
